Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
